Sour [Raspberry & Liquorice] is a modern take on the Berliner Weisse, inspired by the classic beer style that originated in 17th-century Berlin. Today, we achieve the sourness through a controlled process where lactobacillus is added under optimal conditions.
To give the beer its unique flavour profile, we’ve added generous amounts of organic raspberries and liquorice to the base beer. The raspberries bring a fresh, intense berry character, while the liquorice adds depth and a spicy nuance that balances the acidity and creates a complex, flavourful brew. The result is a fresh, tangy, and thirst-quenching sour ale.
Best served well-chilled as a refreshing aperitif or enjoyed socially. It also pairs well with sweet, slightly salty, or chocolate-based desserts. Serve at 6–8°C.
